| The rejuvenated DCDC, is totally focused on facilitating sustainable business investment into Dubbo and has implemented the following strategy:
• Dispensed of its Membership base/structure and incorporated an active Board of nine (9) directors, each bringing their business experience (I.P.) to the Board including representing their business sector in Dubbo.
• Employed a full-time General Manager to drive its new objectives, focus and strategies to solely advance and improve economic development in Dubbo.
• The corporation is totally performance driven, with its mandate to meet/exceed KPI`s set down by the DCDC Board of Directors in conjunction with the Dubbo City Council.
The platform for DCDC`s economic development is based primarily on two Documents, (1) Economic Development Strategy (DCC June 2007) specifically (page 70 – 72) and (2) Terms of Reference (page 76 of the Economic Development Strategy document).
DCDC is totally focused on sustainable economic business development growth and understands the importance of sticking to its core business, not getting “side-tracked” from fulfilling the strategy-related tasks by pursuing non-strategy-related tasks.
